Dr. Michael Gontarek

Dr. Gontarek has a passion for understanding the root cause of patients’ conditions and believes that movement and healthy lifestyle practices are imperative to increased quality and quantity of life. His dedication and commitment to his patients is his biggest asset in helping patients overcome all obstacles and achieve their health and wellness goals. Dr. Gontarek believes that practicing what he preaches is essential as he is an avid CrossFit athlete, focusing on functional movement patterns and proper joint mobility.
Dr. Gontarek is board-certified chiropractic physician through the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He holds a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology/Pre-med from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as an Evans Scholar and graduated with honors. Following undergraduate college, he pursued his Doctorate in chiropractic medicine through Palmer College of Chiropractic – Florida and is continuing education through pursuing a Masters in functional medicine and human nutrition through the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Gontarek is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) parts A, B, and C through the McKenzie Institute and is pursuing completion of the credentialing examination to become an MDT certified practitioner. When he's not busy helping patients achieve their health goals, Dr. Gontarek enjoys cooking, playing sports with friends, and spending time with his loved ones.
