Crashing Knees II Weak Glute Med • Knee Valgus

​We're soooo close to solving your knee knocking (and the knee pain that comes with it)! 🙌Here's the last installment of our Knee Valgus series, and this one may be a bit familiar! It's the 👻RETURN OF THE GLUTE MED! 👻You'd be surprised how many of our patients suffer from Glute Med weakness 😫and it's too bad because it plays such a major role in your body's overall stability. It's the #2️⃣culprit in developing the knee valgus pattern we're solving today. But your MOVEMENT DOCS know how to fix it: we want to STIMULATE the muscle (with our trusty TFR ball) and then we want to CONTRACT it by use of the clamshell exercise. 💪Once you get your Glute Med's working and your feet standing strong, you'll be well on your way to solving your knee pain (and preventing potential knee injuries like the dreaded ACL tear!) Crashing Knees I Overpronation • Knee Valgus

​Say farewell to knocking knees! We have Step 1 in fixing your KNEE VALGUS pattern on this week's BODY WISE! We like to work from the ground up at BFW, so to start to solve your crashing knees we start at the FEET! 🦶If you'd consider yourself flat-footed, or ever noticed the arch or your foot collapsing inwards we've got news for you. Your feet are OVERPRONATED (i.e. crashing feet!). Today your MOVEMENT DOCS teach you about the tripod of the foot, and how having foot weakness (including arch weakness) can oftentimes lead to over-relying and under-relying on different points. They've also got the exercises to bring you from 'so weak' to 'strong feet'! Watch, learn, and be  BODY WISE!

​It's time to FIX those CRASHING KNEES! 💥Why do our knees want to crash in anyways? In this upcoming series, your MOVEMENT DOCS will explain why & how to fix what we call the KNEE VALGUS pattern! And believe us- you want to fix it. Not only can this common alignment become ultimately painful, but it puts you at risk of injury (including the dreaded ACL tear 😫). But no need for worried knees!
